VP of ACCOUNTING/CONTROLLER — HELENA, MT

May 3 –  Intrepid Credit Union is looking for a full-time VP of Accounting/Controller who will be responsible for making sure all credit union financial records are properly accounted for, display integrity and consistency; and follow generally accepted accounting practices and regulatory rules and regulations. This person in this position also performs various financial analyses for management, the credit union’s board, and outside agencies while making sure that all internal and external reporting is done timely and accurately. The VP of Accounting/Controller also leads, coaches, and supervises the accounting department staff. To be successful in this role you will need to have a bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance or a related field (CPA is preferred), at least 5 years of experience leading a high-functioning accounting department within a financial institution, and a minimum of 3-7 years executive/finance experience in the financial institutions industry. BSA/AML COMPLIANCE OFFICER — HELENA, MT

May 3 –  Intrepid Credit Union is looking for a full-time BSA/AML Compliance Officer who will play a pivotal role in safeguarding the credit union’s integrity and reputation. The person in this position is responsible for managing fraud and ensuring compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), USA PATRIOT Act, Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Customer Identification Program (CIP) and Red Flag-Identity Theft regulations. The BSA/AML compliance officer develops and implements strategies, policies, and procedures to minimize loss and mitigate risks associated with fraud and other illegal acts. They also make sure that all affected credit union staff are kept informed of changing laws and procedures for implementation to be completed at the appropriate time while making recommendations for improving and strengthening internal controls and operating procedures. To be successful in this role you will need to have a bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance or a related field; a minimum of 3 – 5 years of BSA/AML similar or related experience; and knowledge of governmental and financial regulations, laws, and guidelines. LOAN AND MEMBER SERVICE SUPERVISOR — GREAT FALLS, MT

April 29 –  Montana Credit Union is seeking a leadership-minded individual to guide its new 10th Avenue South branch, opening this summer! The Loan and Member Service Supervisor is responsible for leading, supervising, coaching, mentoring, and developing a team of loan officers, member service representatives, member service guides, and loan and member service support. The supervisor will manage business development regarding consumer loan growth and cross-selling credit union products and services. They will manage a diverse loan portfolio and monitor credit performance to ensure loan and credit quality comply with the credit union’s lending policies and procedures, as well as state and federal laws, rules, and regulations. The supervisor at the 10th Avenue branch oversees the Personal Teller Machines (PTM’s) located there to include maintenance and troubleshooting. They build and strengthen relationships with members and co-workers, direct and evaluate staff performance, and make sure that operations are conducted in accordance with established MCU policies, procedures, guidelines, and audit standards.

COLLECTIONS MANAGER — KALISPELL, MT

April 26 –  Whitefish Credit Union is looking for a full-time Collections Manager for its Kalispell location. The person in this position is responsible for evaluating and directing all members of the credit union’s collections department. They will work with Whitefish CU employees of all levels, including senior management, to make sure that collection goals are being met. They will manage a team of collectors, allocating and managing work to achieve expected outcomes, developing team member capabilities, and recognizing excellent contributions to the credit union and our membership.


CLEAN ENERGY LOAN OFFICER — BOZEMAN, MT

April 23Clearwater Credit Union is accepting applications for a full-time Clean Energy Loan Officer. The person in this role is responsible for assisting members with their clean energy lending needs, being a resource for members, building strong relationships with our clean energy installation partners, and building stronger relationships in the community.  The successful candidate will have two plus years of consumer lending experience and an understanding of clean energy, especially solar. They will need excellent computer skills (including the Microsoft Office Suite), strong written and verbal communication skills, and strong organizational and time management skills along with attention to detail and problem-solving availability. COLLECTOR — KALISPELL, MT

March 29 –  Whitefish Credit Union is now accepting applications for a full-time Collector II for its Kalispell location. Under direct supervision, the person in this position is responsible for establishing and maintaining continuous contact with credit union members who have delinquent loans or accounts. They serve as liaison between those members and the collections manager, recommending action on accounts as deemed necessary like charge-off, repossession, legal action, foreclosure, and referrals to a collection agency. The Collector II assists the collections manager in identifying departmental training needs and training staff with less experience. They work proactively with consumer, residential, and commercial loan officers (and all members of their branches/departments) to garner information and facilitate gathering payments from members with past-due loans or overdraft accounts. They pursue win-win outcomes that both reduce outstanding member debt and maintain positive member relationships while participating in maintaining a financially sound loan portfolio through early delinquency control.


INFRASTRUCTURE ADMINISTRATOR — KALISPELL, MT

March 18 –  Whitefish Credit Union is looking for a full-time Infrastructure Administrator for its Kalispell Operations Center. The person in this position performs the creation and maintenance of the enterprise-wide network and computing systems and provides support to other peer staff and end users. The systems supported by Whitefish CU’s infrastructure administrator enable every department to perform its business and mission-critical functions.


COMPTROLLER — GREAT FALLS, MT

March 5 1st Liberty Federal Credit Union is actively searching for a Comptroller. The person in this position will oversee, plan, organize, direct, and supervise employees and the accounting department. They are responsible for all financial budgeting, statements, forecasting, business planning, GL reconciliation, direct investment and management of the corporate portfolio, ALM Profitstar preparation. They are also responsible for the daily, monthly, and annual reports, reviewing policy and procedure, analyzing risk, and conducting cost-benefit analysis on the products and services of the credit union. This position requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills and a thorough knowledge of GAAP.
